About

Originally from New Jersey, I moved to Massachusetts to attend Smith College. After an internship at the Daily Jolt (RIP), I decided Boston was where I wanted to be, and have been here ever since. I took a job at Boston University, which grew over the years to include graphic design, e-mail marketing, marketing strategy, and social media. While working at BU, I completed my Master of Science in Advertising in 2007.

I’ve volunteered with AIGA Boston for the last few years as a reviewer at their annual student portfolio review and for the chapter’s 25th anniversary event. I’m also a member of the Graphic Artist Guild.

I’m a founding member and contributing writer to NO!SPEC, a site devoted to educating designers and clients alike to the dangers of speculative work, and a visiting author for Business of Design Online. My column, “Erin Reviews,” focused on reviews of design and design business books. Additionally, I’m a member of Creative Latitude, a worldwide, web-based community that unites various creative disciplines for collective promotion, education, and ethical business practice.

When I’m not geeking out over design and strategy, I can be found gardening, taking pictures, or at the Garden watching hockey.
